Professional Squatters?

You see the major problem in the Philippines is POVERTY. But mind you a lot of middle class people who can buy a decent house are choosing to live in a tenement that is built for people who can’t afford a house meaning for the poor.  I can say that because I live in decent community but we don’t have a land title. I guess I brought up this issue because of an incident that made me realize that most middle class people in our country doesn’t want to live properly meaning if they can get something for free they will gladly do that and they can do worse if it means earning more money. I live in Brgy San Vicente. Because of the fire incident on May 18, 2012 two building in UP BLISS were burnt.  It started because of two open wires and you know what’s next. My mom’s house was just few houses away from the house where the fire started so you can say that our house was also caught on fire.  Yeah there’s a creek and there are families who built a house near or on top of the creek which is very close to UP Bliss. After the fire, those people in UP BLISS went to the Barangay to petition that those people living near the creek to be removed because they caused the fire. One thing that I remember during the fire is while all of us were busy getting out in our houses I can see those people living in that two building in UP bliss smiling as if they are watching a movie. They could have helped those people who are trying to stop the fire from spreading so they can at least prevent the fire from reaching their building.

They are so mad at us and they keep on cursing us whenever they see us. Those who are living in UP Bliss they don’t have a title. They were given a house for free when in fact those building are for those families who cannot afford to get their own house. And much worst, they get to live for free and they get to build houses near each building and so they have those houses rented to earn extra money. Who are the professional squatters now? We don’t want to live in a place that it isn’t ours but we have no choice because we don’t have enough money but look at them. They choose to live in UP Bliss because they will not need to pay for anything even if they can afford to get a house.  They will not stop until everyone living near their buildings is removed.  They are so selfish and I just wish that government will be able to do something about it. You see they will not have any problem with illegal settlers if they will not allow people like those people residing in UP Bliss to live in a house that is meant for poor families. If you watch the news it is as if they are the only victim in the fire now I know how life in this country works and it really sucks!

I just hope that there will not be a day that those people will need other people’s help because it if happens I don’t know if someone will come to help them.

A Not So Good Experience with SM Cinema People

Okay I get it I know it is my fault that I lost my IMAX ticket but would that be enough to just ignore someone I mean to let someone feel that there's nothing you can do because your customer lost his/her ticket?  Well here's what happen, I lost my IMAX ticket for Avengers. Each ticket costs 400 Php and I bought 4 tickets. I gave up when I found out that I lost the tickets but my friend who used to work with SM Cinema told me that I can go ahead and talk to a manger and explain my situation for they will allow me to watch the movie so long as I have all the details that will serve as a proof that I bought a ticket. Luckily I had the picture of the tickets posted in my facebook account so I can provide all the information that I need.  I went to the ticket booth when I got there and explained my case, they asked me to go to CINEMA 6 to talk to a manager. Then I went to cinema 6 and the security guard just told me that there is nothing that they can do given that it is not yet the screening time. They keep on insisting that someone might have used the ticket when in fact it is not yet the screening time which is really stupid because of what they did they are only proving that they do NOT care about the money you spent. The security guard even tried to keep me from talking to a manger by insisting that the manger will tell me the same thing. Well try to think of it! The ticket booth peeps will not ask me to talk to a manager in cinema 6 if they do not know about the said process and besides he's a security guard and I am asking for a manager. As expected the manager did inform me the same thing which I think is non-sense because it is not yet screening time meaning they will be able to identify if someone will use my ticket and they SHOULD learn to VALUE their customer's MONEY. I spent 1,600 Php for a ticket for nothing just because they didn't care to help me AT ALL. 

Been watching movies in SM since I was a little girl now I think of switching to different malls. Maybe they care about their customers unlike those SM Cinema people.

Big NO NO to Gay Marriage

This is a huge issue today I know. I respect everyone and I know that we all know that gay/lesbian marriage is wrong. We all know the fact that there are only two genders that exists it is male and female. I love and respect my gay friends because even if they are gay they have limitations and they know how to face the truth. But those people who are insisting of gay/lesbian marriage I see them as people who doesn't really know what marriage means. It's not just for fun that you would just allow everyone to get married because they want to even if it is against God's will. I am not good in debating but I know what I fight for. I am not a religious person but I fear God.

iPhone 4S Post Paid Application

I was surprised when I saw SMART kiosk in my workplace. Because I have no phone I decided to check their deals and apply for a phone. I saw their unlimited data plan with iPhone so I choose the said plan. I submitted my application like more than 2 weeks ago and fortunately until now I don't have the phone. Of course you're thinking I should check if I am approved well yes I am but the problem is they don't have available iPhone 4S. Guess this is a pretty good start right? I just hope that I'll be able to get the phone this week.

Belated Happy Birthday Jackie Chan

Well I maybe late but like the old saying "It's better to be late than never" I'd like to say belated happy birthday to my number one movie hero Mr Jackie Chan. Jackie celebrated his birthday on April 7, 2012. I've always looked up to him since I was a child because I know for sure even if I haven't seen him in person that he is a great guy. I hope he would still be able to make a lot of films because I am a big fan of him and I never get tired of watching all his movies. Although a lot of actors are trying to copy his technique in action films I'm really happy for him because it only mean that they look up to him too. I'm praying that God will give him a long a happy life.

The Avengers Movie Review

I was waiting for this movie since last year and finally I was able to watch Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and the rest of the gang in one film. I had a terrible day yesterday but because of the film I was able to move on. The movie was not just good but it was great! It was action packed film that everybody will enjoy. It's full of humor not just because Tony Stark is part of the film. I initially thought that Mark Ruffalo doesn't suit to Hulk's character but to be honest he was able to carry his role pretty well. Thor is handsome as always same with Captain America. But what I loved the most is the plot of the film I mean it was never that serious and it is very entertaining. To those people who haven't watch and are planning to watch the film I must say that you are not wasting your money and time by watching this movie. The Avengers is the best film so far that I've ever watched this year. 

Snow White and another Show White

      I am excited for the upcoming movies next year. There are lots of good movies that will be out but what I surprised and excited at the same time to know that there will be two Snow White films that will be out in 2012. First one is Snow White and the Huntsman.  Yeah it is a Snow White movie but in a twist of the classic fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen. While the other Mirror Mirror is a fantasy film based on “Snow White” by the Brothers Grimm which means you will see dwarfs and I believe this is like a family movie. I watched the trailer of the two films and I can say those two are good films and I’m really excited to watch them. By the way, they both have great actresses playing the Evil Queen on both films. Charlize Theron plays the Evil Queen on Snow White and the Huntsman while Julia Roberts plays the same role in Mirror Mirror.
