I am excited for the finals of 2011 JPop Anime Singing Contest. It will be held on July 23, 2011 in Megamall and I'm sure that I will enjoy that show. I hope that I'll see my college friends in that said show because I heard that some of them will be watching. This is the first time that I will watch JPop Anime Singing Contest. I watched the video of last year's performers in YouTube and I must say they are all good. I'm sure that all contestants this year will bring us a good show. I may sound weird but again listening to anime music makes me feel at ease because it brings back good memories since I was child and that makes anime music special to me. Back then I used to buy anime CDs and DVDs. I'd join that contest if I am a good singer but unfortunately I am not.

2011 J-POP Anime Singing Contest
The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is once again inviting J-pop and anisong fans to join The J-pop Anime Singing Competition for 2011.
Amateur groups composed of up to five members (with the exemption of previous winners) are invited to join; these groups can be singing groups, bands, or song-and-dance groups. Soloists are now also welcome to join!
Prospective contestants must submit a fully accomplished application form, a group photo and short write up, a demo CD containing two Japanese songs performed by the group, and finally a detailed description of their selected songs (including song title, artist name, and lyrics both in kana and romaji). For a complete list of rules, click here.
Applications can be sent in until 20th May 2011 to the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Library, Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City (MAP).
Only ten contestants from all over the Philippines will be selected for the final performance — where they may perform a capella, while playing their own instruments, or singing to an official karaoke version from a licensed CD (due to copyright reasons, the use of illegally downloaded media such as MP3s for the competition is strictly not allowed).
The Grand Finals will be held on 23th July 2011 at the SM Megamall Event Center, Mandaluyong City.
The J-Pop and Anime Singing Contest is presented by the Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Japan Foundation Manila. This event is also brought to us by Animation International Licensing Philippines, Center for Pop Music, Heritage Hotel, Nihongo Center Foundation, SM Cyberzone, the SM Supermalls, TOEI Animation Philippines, Yoshinoya, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines, Inc., Ajinomoto, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, Yakult, and Hero TV.
