Purely Politics

It is really fun here in the Philippines. They can take advantage of every situation.  I hope I am wrong but it seems that all those politicians are doing something to remind people that they exist and that they want our vote. I’m sure that they want to help but I am also sure that they are hoping to get something from what they are doing. (It boils down to your vote) At this time we can see TV commercials from those politicians. To be honest I am not really interested in those politicians but I am getting tired of seeing them trying hard to get vote. I’d say most of them are fakes and what’s disappointing is those who are worthy are not getting any chance especially if they don’t have enough money. Government is pushing bills (redundant bills like RH BILL) where they say EVERYONE will benefit but what’s true is they’ll benefit more at the back end. Population is not the reason why our country is poor but those selfish Government officials. STOP corruption and we can all escape poverty. 

Time to Stand Up

Now that the President has declared that RH BILL will be prioritized it is time to stand up for those who believe that the said bill should not passed. I personally do not agree with the bill even if they changed some of the provisions on the said bill. No matter what even if it is based on scientific truth as what others are saying I believe that this is a non-sense bill.  Preventing unwanted pregnancy and educating everyone about contraceptives doesn’t help us escape poverty. Catholics or non-Catholics we all believe in the value of life and the sanctity of marriage. Opposing to the said bill doesn’t mean that you are a NOT a free thinker. They said that Filipinos are copy cats and that Catholics are copy-cats of other Catholic countries and those countries have reproductive health bills and divorce. Well, I cannot say NO to that but even if we are Catholics same as those other countries it doesn’t mean that we should also copy what they are doing even if we think it is wrong. There are lot of things that our government should prioritize why focus on reproductive health? To avoid unwanted pregnancy?, Protection from  sexually transmitted disease? hmmm… that made me wonder because last time I saw on TV that  there are cases of unwanted pregnancy in the US and it involves teenagers given that they have reproductive health bill. Last time I saw in iWitness’s “KALAM” they featured a poor family they have 6 kids and the father is a fisherman. Sometimes he can’t get anything so he won’t have any fish to sell. Now, they have six kids and let’s say because of reproductive health instead of having six kids they had only two. Do you think it will change anything? 

No to RH Bill

A lot of people are talking about this bill that they are eager to pass and that's what they call RH Bill (Reproductive Health Bill) Sounds good right? But the impact of that bill is not as good as it sounds. Of course there are supporters of the said bill and there are people who opposes the bill (like me). But I just want to express my side. We understand that all of us wants to lessen poverty. Some say it is because of our country's big population that is why many are poor. I won't deny that most of the people in our country are poor but do not agree that they are the reason why we are poor. Number one is to eliminate corruption and to have a government wise enough to spend our country's money to education, employment, and agriculture not on contraceptives and sex education. Family planning can be carried out by department of health and we don't need to file a separate bill just to focus on family planning. Separate bill means money which means our national budget will be stretched to give way to this bill. Once the bill is passed we have a budget to RH Bill but the budget for agriculture, education, and whatever it is will be reduced because of the said bill. Not just because I am a Catholic that I oppose to this bill but because I believe that we should promote and love life because it is gift from God. I am not a good speaker but I am just expressing my thoughts. They always attack the Catholic church for they said that they are the reason why we oppose to the said bill. But don't they know that it is just not Catholic peeps who are against the said bill? There are Catholics that support this bill. I don't agree giving sex education to kids (grade 5 students to be exact). Before I just know that I oppose to this bill but after I watched the video below everything is clear to me now. I am AGAINST RH BILL.
