Paris Hilton is coming to Manila

I've read on the news that Paris will visit Manila on August 13^th. Well it may not be big news to everyone but for some of her “fans” I guess it is but anyway this is quite interesting. I know there is a Hilton hotel here in the Philippines but honestly I have no idea why she is coming here. But anyway here’s what the hotel heiress tweeted on her tweeter account “Hey @iamishagirl, I'm flying to Manilla, Philippines on August 13th for a few days. Would love to meet up while I'm there. Love you," Whatever reason she may have in coming here in the Philippines I hope that she’ll have a good experience staying here. 

Boracay One of Our Treasure

All of us here in the Philippines knows where Boracay is and most of us have been there and we can all say that it is for real one of the best beaches here in the Philippines. As a proof it has been recognized internationally by  Travel + Leisure Magazine. It was ranked as the fourth best island in the world on its annual "Worlds Best Awards." It was the first time that Boracay was recognized by the said magazine. TripAdvisor.com, a travel site that collates user-generated content, ranked the  said island the best beach in Asia and second worldwide in their 2011 “Traveler’s Choice. We truly are proud of Boracay and to be honest we are not only proud of Boracay but we have other tourist destinations that we can all say world class.

Best Summer Ever

Like what I have said in my previous post that we will go and have fun in Quezon. There are lots of beautiful places here in the Philippines and I must say that Mt Pinagbanderahan, Bantakay Falls, and Bantakay Cave are one of the beautiful places that I've been to. It is very exhausting but everything was worth it. First day we didn't do anything much because we just arrived so we just stayed in my cousin's house. Following day we went to Mt Pinagbanderahan, Bantakay Falls, and Bantakay Caves. We have been to three places in just one day so you can tell that how tired we were that day. Mt Pinagbanderahan is not difficult to climb for it has a trail so you won't be lost but the good thing about it is you can see a lot of trees. Not just trees but tall trees that I can only see on TV. Why am I amazed? Well it is because it is rare to see a mountain that has trees here in the Philippines. Next we went to Bantakay falls. Now this is challenging because we arrived to the drop off at around 12PM we didn't waste anytime so we head on. Since it is 12PM you can imagine how hot it was that day specially it is summer. Eveything was paid off but the beautiful falls it is so clean and because it is quite hard to reach that there's only few people when we arrived. Then we went to Bantakay cave. I feel so relaxed when we entered the cave. Water inside the cave is so clean and you can hear the water current which is so relaxing plust the beautiful stalagmites and stalactites in the cave. Third day we went to a small island. Unlike Boracay there are only few people which is perfect because I can't enjoy in a crowded beach I don't know but for me being able to have fun with my friends and enjoy the scenery at the same time is the best. 

Summer Means Having Fun

It is summer now here in the Philippines. Everyone is excited about it and everyone busy planning where to go to spend their summer vacation. There are two things that I’m looking forward to every summer. One, is the holy week (being a religious country we sure don’t want to miss this one). During holy week all people go to different churches we call it “Visita de Iglesia” Holy week is the time where we think of Jesus and how to sacrificed himself to save us all (though we should always think of this everyday but this is a very specialy occasion (if I must say) to all Catholics. So, the other thing that excites me every summer is I get a chance to go to a nice place. When I say nice place it doesn’t mean fine dining restaurant, mall, or whatever because we can go to those places whenever we want to here in the city. When I say nice place I am pertaining to beaches, mountain, falls, river, or wherever outside the busy city that I live in. Last summer we went to Quezon. I have relatives in Quezon province so we don’t need to go to a hotel. We were planning to trek Mt Pinagbanderahan but unfortunately we our drivers are very lazy and they don’t want to take us there (but we will not hire them this time). So we go to plan B which is to go to an island.

We enjoyed the the beautiful scene on that island. We had fun playing in the beach and I spent most of the time sitting in there enjoying the beatiful scene. Philippines is a beautiful country for there are a lot of beautiful places that you can go to.  I just hope that its people will learn to appreciate nature in a positive way. What I mean in a positive way is not to take advantage of our nature or of those beautiful places for their own good. Whenever they see a beautiful place they tend to take that as an opportunity to increase their wealth by building hotels near the beach and they don’t care even if they destroy a mountain just to get what they want. I hope that government officials will not be blinded by  these businessmen and would be more concern in our country’s future. I am not saying that we should not take advantage of these places but what I am saying is that we should preserve this places and show to everyone its true beauty. I don’t think that not putting up a hotel in a beach will make it less beautiful.
